Company History

Argo Uniform has been in business for more than 50 years. For the past 30 years, Argo Uniform has been owned by the Orenstein Family. Nathan Orenstein acquired the business through a family friend and moved his family to Florida from Canada. Nathan's background was in the retail business but did not specialize in public safety uniforms. The Orenstein's purchased Argo Uniform and within the first year Nathan passed away, quite suddenly, leaving Shelly Orenstein, a housewife and mother of three teenagers, trying to keep the business afloat.

Seeing this daunting task, Shelly relied on the experience and the skills of the Argo employees, many of whom have been there before the acquisition of the store for years, and are still with her today. Shelly's daughter, Sandy joined the company in 1990 and after a lot of hard work they were able to move forward with the company and eventually move into a new, state of the art building and warehouse.
