Argo Uniform has been in business for
more than 50 years. For the past 25 years, Argo Uniform
has been owned by the Orenstein Family. Nathan Orenstein
moved his family to Florida and through a family friend,
heard that Argo Uniform was for sale. Nathan always
worked in the Retail business but never specialized in
public safety uniforms. The Orenstein’s purchased Argo
Uniform and within the first year Nathan Passed away,
quite suddenly, leaving Shelly Orenstein, a housewife
and mother of three, trying to keep the business afloat.
Seeing this daunting task, Shelly relied on the
experience and skills of the Argo employees, many of
whom had been there for years, and are with her today.
Under Shelly Orenstein, the company has grown to what it
is today. Within the last five years, she has tripled
the company's size and moved
into a new, state of the art building and warehouse. Argo Uniform has become a
family affair, with two of Shelly’s children joining
Argo and strengthening the business. Sandy Evans has been with the company
since 1990 and has worked her way up from shipping and
customer sales. Today she oversees purchasing and bids. Howie Orenstein
has been with the company
since 1996 and started out at customer sales, and now
oversees the Sales Department.
